Sorry about the slightly off topic post but I finally solved the mystery
behind the scratch fader for the Vestax PMC 17-A. Apparently three
different faders fit this mixer: CFR (the normal one it comes with), CFS (a
slightly looser version) and CFR-2 (scratch fader). After extensive web
searches and phone calls I finally spoke to Ali @
Platinum Records (503-222-9166) who told me that the CFR-2 is no longer
available and was replaced by the CFR-US. I have no affiliation with this
company but they did treat me excellently and they do have the fader in
stock. Either give them a ring, email them:
