On a slight tangent,
There's one musician under Blue Note right now that
I really like, and I don't want all the negative things
being said about Blue Note to get associated w/ her.
Dianne Reeves...
She is a phenomenal singer. When I lived in California,
I used to have a little notebook, and whenever I heard a
song on the radio that I really liked, I wrote down all
the info I could about it, so that I could find it later
(when I had more money). Dianne Reeves was one of the
ones who came up many times.
I kind of miss California, but for jazz radio, KUER in
Utah is pretty decent. (better than KLON, even).
Enough rambling for now. I just wanted to defend
Dianne Reeve's good name. She works w/ Blue Note, but
she is not evil. :)
