hey Jeroen and list,
I have to thank the handful of folks on this list who've mentioned Jill
Scott in recent months. You all made me curious enough to track down the
label [Hidden Beach, out of California] releasing her debut album at the
end of June. I've got a 7 track sampler and can totally agree with everyone
who's been singing her praises - the woman can sing! She's got tons of
soul, a great voice, and much flexibility. Fingers crossed that we'll be
hearing lots from her in future...Hidden Beach is an independent and this
is their first ever release, but they seem very, very on the ball and
totally behind her. Glad to hear your report Jeroen. :-) She'll get tons
of comparisons to Erykah, but takes it a little deeper in my books. Just
had to share. Ciao for now.
