I view house like I view hip-hop: 50% of it is crap, 50% of it rules.

    For me...

BAD HOUSE: Most Euro house, handbag, so-called "latin house" (no, not what you
think it is, this one is just repetitive booms and claps and occasional random
noises), drag queen diva house, so-called "progressive house", so-called "deep
house", remixes of top 40 tunes by Soul Solution, David Morales or any other
lame-ass "let's just put a 4-on-the-floor beat to it and call it a day" remixers.

GOOD HOUSE: Basement Jaxx, Groove Armada, Kevin Yost, Roy Davis Jr, Masters At
Work, most Speed Garage, some 2-step, most Armand Van Helden, jazzy house,
samba/Brazilian house, Bhangra, real latin/salsa house.

I guess what separates Column A from Column B is that for the former, the
musical elements (if applicable) exist for the sake of the house beat (read:
THUD-tss-THUD-tss-THUD-tss-THUD-tss) whereas the latter, the house beat exists
for the sake of the MUSIC.
