This week’s new releases and restocks list is now posted on our website

a big one for everyone (which means it’s time to cash in those savings
bonds, go down to the pawn shop and work those extra hours of overtime this
week).
Highlights This Week (05/22/2000):
Acid Jazz/Downtempo/Trip-Hop: new 12” from Be Bop Dawg (which is one of the
members of Bell Café Band) on Dynamite Joint, DJ Cam now in on CD,
Deckwrecka album now in on vinyl, Freedom Satellite single on Vienna
Scientist (this is one for fans of Sonar Kollectiv and Stereo Deluxe), the
Herbaliser Band (Ninja Tunes’ Herbaliser bulked up into a nine piece live
band) drop their debut album called “Session One”, Mark De Clive Low full
album in on vinyl, “promo only” St. Etienne single remixed by Two Lone
Swordsmen, Silent Poets new album “To Come” which comes with guests galore
and rave reviews, Tweak single on Straight Ahead, Apeman compilation in on
CD, and Grand Central’s Central Heating 2 and 1 (re-released) now in on
vinyl.
Big Beat/Breakbeat/Nu Skool Breaks: new single on Blowpop (run by the man
behind the Dope On Plastic albums) from Bobby Dupea, Freddie Fresh 7” (out
on his own label), Hybrid team up with Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders for
“Kid”, new Los Chicharrons 12” on their own label, new from Meat Katie’s
Whole Nine Yards label comes a new 12” by Solid Ground, Botchit Breaks 3
sampler 12” with new cuts from Freq Nasty, Blim, and Orange Kush, and
Freskanova’s Rough Technique 2 CD (at a very nice price).
Drum & Bass: new 12” from Emotif by Tom Acetate, Bad Company now in stock on
CD (and it comes with a bonus mix CD too), Dom & Roland 12” on Moving
Shadow, new Hybridz white label on Perspective, new Jonny L single, the EZ
Rollers compiled Drumfunk Hooliganz 2 compilation in, the long awaited
Hospital Records’ compilation “Out Patients” in stock on double CD and
quadruple vinyl, and the latest 10” from Double Zero (the Emotif spin-off)
by X-Men.
House: new Bobby Trafalgar (aka Hakan) single on Repap, new Nuphonic single
by Cultural Mambo, new Funky Lowlives single on Ascension, Isolee full
length album, MJ Cole double pack with more remixes by Todd Edwards, Phil
Asher’s Phlash drop a new single on Estereo, and two separate 12”s for the
hot new Romanthony single on Glasgow Underground.
Rare Groove: ESG best of album released on Soul Jazz, Disco Juice
compilation on Counterpoint (who put out the Jazz Bizzniz compilation), and
new on Cosmos Sounds comes “Third Eye” a collection of Czech rare jazz.
Merchandise: Ninja Tune Record Bags, DEC Plates, and X-20 Record Stands
