This new compilation on Universal was interesting enough to warrant it's
    own email.

    - various artists "Paradisiac" (Universal)

This is a strange compilation. The subtitle is "An aphrodisiac selection
of deep, jazzy, sensual tracks" and in fact it is just that. What hooked
me in was that it was 2CDs and the artist selection was pretty
interesting. It's really slow and ambient-ish and makes me think of a hazy
summer afternoon or a rainy Sunday morning. Some songs are beat-driven,
others barely so. Names we all recognize next to some we don't. Very
    well-thought out comp, imho.

p.s. It's only on import here in the US and I think I paid well over $30US
for it but I think it's worth it. It's like ambient/jazz/trip/house or
    something like that....
