Nothing this good has happened to me all year. I knew of jazzanova and their
few EP's which were pleasing in that they were a good fusion of acid jazz,
latin, and electronica. However, what really got me excited was Beanfield --
Thes tunes are triphop-jazz-latin-electronica, high energy, danceable -- but
still something you want to sit down to listen to. Quite possibly the best
record I've bought in the last 2 years.
For samples of Beanfield and other Compost artists, check out

The important question is: Are there any other labels than Compost or JCR
(Jazzanova) that produce music like this? Or artists in particular, who play
a similar type of "downtempo on steroids"?
Thanks.
Markus
