ALBUM OF THE WEEK: OUR AIM IS TO SATISFY RED SNAPPER (Warp).
Red Snapper are one of the few real "bands" on the Warp Records roster.
Their music is grounded in live performance rather than electronic
sequencing, and their sound is as unique as their approach to making it. Red
Snapper's third studio album (excluding an EP collection) continues to
create thick and moody atmospheres where jazz, funk, and soul influences
intertwine with modern electronics. Sometimes gritty and sometimes gorgeous,
this Red Snapper is prepared with just the right musical spices, and is
guaranteed to satisfy more than just themselves.
