Has anyone mentioned DJ Logic in this thread? He's easily my favorite dj
w/band outfit (well, Live Human's first was really good, too). He goes way
beyond scratching, he throws out mad ambiance & takes it really deep, & his
band backs him up perfectly. Hell, Teo Macero even produces a cut, & it's
as great as you might expect.
I love Kid Koala too, but think of him more as the Don of a more
traditional DJ approach; though unlike most of that camp, he never abandons
a groove for fireworks, which is one of his main strengths--
