yes, i second this. i was lucky to have friends at a certain record
distributor in chicago put me up on this. i had heard gilles mention the
project but never thought i'd see it. i also hear mr. fulton and tenor have
another female vocal led project on the way - this time from nuphonic -
ladyvipd. anyone seen anything by them floating around - gilles has played a
few cuts that were lovely.
it is certainly a wonderful time for jazzy soul. for the jazzy side check out
ledisi _soul singer_ from oakland and fertile ground _spiritual war_ from
baltimore. For the soul side check (ex-Badu singer)N'Dambi _little lost
girls blues_. Don't let the mondo gross pass you by either. the omar looks to
be a winner as well.
