Simply Vinyl has some comp of Lalo Schifrin "Mission Impossible"
[SVLP0041] and his "Dirty Harry" stuff [SVLP082], but, they are
spendy (I didn't by the Wu Tang repress for $33) Other ideas would
be some Henry Mancini i.e. Pink Panther, the Oranj Symphonette has a
cool goofy album "Plays Mancini" with some Mancini classics . Also
David Holmes has some cool spy like music "This Film's Crap..." and
"let's get killed" with a wicked James Bond 'remix'. You could also
probably get away with some Portishead (they sample John Barry (James
Bond) and Lalo Schifrin, (his Danube Incident track from MI is used
on 'Sour Times'.) You also should probably get the "Godfather"
soundtracks, just playing the theme should get nods from the crowd.
The Herbalizer on their "Very Mercenary" has some cool spy groove
tracks, try 'Moon Sequence', 'The Missing Suitcase'. Also the
"Coffee Table Music" comp mixed by grantby has some wicked spy groove
stuff try the forboding 'Chase Scene' by Brothers Grimm from the now
defunked Cup Of Tea records. Also the "Pussy Galore" comp on
Pussyfoot records has some great spy music as the allusion to James
Bond would note. Also Snooze "The Man In The Shadows" some good spy
groove stuff. And there's the French "serialment vôtre" series with
remixes of "Mission Impossible", "The Prisoner" and others, its on DJ
    Cam's Concrete label.
And a riff off the James Bond there's also a Ska version by Barry
Adamson that's on his "The Murky World..." comp album on Mute
records, which was originally on his "Soul Murder" album. Another
would be the "Shots In The Dark" comp with various bands doing
Mancini and other spy music covers, this one has Oranj Symphonette
    doing 'The Pink Panther Theme'.
Now the real problem is with the Soprano's popular culture hears all
kinds of music tied to the Mob.
