Old time acidjazzers James Taylor Quartet (all 6 of them...) were in
my town yesterday. I've seen them before a couple of times and I'm
always surprised by how tight and funky they are. Nowdays I find them
to be rather dull on albums, but this type of music is meant to be
heard live. It's not very complicated music (70s TV themes and covers
of rock classics) but I find it very entertaining and funky.
Yvonne Yanney vocals, John Willmott sax, James Taylor Hammond B3,
David Taylor guitarr, Gary Crockett bass, Neil Robinson drums.
The bands plays two nights in Stockholm, 24-25 November at Fashing:

Bring a towel and go nuts!
One of my absolute favourites, Ray Hayden, has done a new Opaz album
"From London to Infinity". It's out 18th of December in the UK.
