I'm sure when compared to labels like Strictly Rhythm, Defected, etc
Guidance is definitely on the "fringe"...and that's before you start talking
about their spoken word/rap poetry albums, Brazilian jazz albums, etc. But
then again I'd say Naked Music is on the fringe too which you might disagree
with. And if you don't think Lisa Shaw singing on records from Ism, Sirkus,
etc is on the fringe I don't know where you think the fringe starts....

Since when is Guidance (and Lisa Shaw, for that matter) "fringe"
dance music? I guess it's a pretty vague topic. Tomas is amazing,
and if you've never been to Dubspot, make sure you go! It's the
only place around to find cool Japanese releases, especially
of the unreleased Joe Claussell kind.
They had copies of a Joe Claussell remix of Ronny Jordan just
last week that will apparently never see the light of day.
Add that to the Cassandra Wilson and countless others. Too
bad for us.
