Essential,
One day man i'ma meet you, if I haven't already! I totally agree with your
synopsis of the MJ Cole Album. I just got it last week and really it's all
i've been listening to! I'm feelin "Your'e mine", "Free my Mind", and
"bandelero desparado". Overall I like the whole damn thing. I know some
people I musically respect-opinion wise anyway- who don't like the album,
but most of their reason was personal prefrence. It's a hard one to argue
with, besides too many damn critics anyway. Lot of haters out there, lotta
haters..
More CD's to check for
Inspirations, vol. 1: King Britt.- A whole CD of music that inspired
philly's greatest King Britt
Kimani Wilson - Afro Kozmic Soul - Waaaaay out there in the beginning but
it's still reasonably dope.
Phife Dawg - Flawless- If your'e still mad at q-tip for doing his thang,
Phife will definetly bring you out of the doldrums.
Black Eyed Peas - Bridging the Gaps - decent Album as well except for the
Macy Gray cut.
Central Heating Compilation Vol 1&2- OOOOh this one's a silent killer Mr.
Scruff, rae & christian, funkyfreshfew feat. Afu-ra. Two double cd's each
both with killer cuts. Treat yourself.
oh and if your'e in DC and up late on Wed. night's from 12-3am on 89.3 WPFW
(www.wpfw.org) catch me spinnin a lil sumthin.:)
sorry I got off topic, lotta music in my mind..:)
peace
Ralph C.
