So I took back the defective Tascam unit and exchanged it for the Pioneer
CMX-5000. What a difference! This machine reads _ALL_ my CD's, and the jog
dial-cue feature actually works as it's supposed to! It didn't have an
instruction manual with it, so I was clueless about most of the features,
but it was pretty easy to use, compared with the Tascam (which seems like it
has a lot more bells and whistles). I've still gotta take a look at the
CDJ-100, 500 and 700, since I don't really need the auto mix feature of the
CMX-5000 and I've heard that these other models are pretty good as well.. I
definitely won't be buying the Tascam any time soon!
