not trying to perpetuate this thread with conjecture,
but this might interest some people. i've been
watching a pretty cool doc on PBS called "an american
love story" about a mixed race (black and white)
couple and their 2 daughters. it's very
home-movie-ish and personal, really illuminates the
rock-and-hardplace they are in. I'm not sure what the
national schedule for the program is, but around here
there have been installments for the last 2 nights,
and it continues tonight, 12-2am. Last night's
episode was fascinating. The older, college-age
daughter took a trip to africa with 7 white students,
7 black, and one other mixed-race person. the
interactions were gripping and heartwrenching.
warning, this series will cure you of a cheerful
disposition pretty quick.
