This one was right up my alley too! I gave it some prasies several weeks
back and somebody shot it down.
Negativity is rampant here sometimes, Maybe folks are not getting enough
seat time in the twisties (PMS: Parked Motorcycle Syndrome, when the spirit
needs curves and downtempo deep dark Acid Jazz there isn't any holdin'
back!!!). Then along comes those Cultural Centerisms and those oppression
threads!!!, yikes!!! Oppression is out there everywhere and it will such you
in like one of those dark masses in the galaxies, Ooops!!! that may cause a
burnin' thread, Ooops!!! My Bad!!!
Don't know about the cd release.
"I am not a DJ but I play one Televsion". Vinyl is like a boat anchor for
someone like me who is moving constantly.
Very genius though. I'm playing Fathom's Down alot.
There is someone on the list who posted this on her playlist along with
P'taah. I'd have to say that playlist sounds like something worth checking
out. Also I was playing Thievery Corporation this morning for a Rasta-esque
vibe.
I don't remember who recommended it on this list, but thanks again.
Brother Stimp from Montreal makes excellent recommendations and Dirk from
http://www.groovedis.com is helpful about locating them.
And not to repeat over and over, but I believe Two Banks of Four's City
Watching on Sirkus prooves Jazz ain't dead too.
Bingo!!!! Right between the eyes!!! Bull's Eye!!!!
I just wish the pressing I have was better. Quality is pretty booty.
That could be their intent.
But the mood is excellent.
Oh yeah!!! I listen to that CD in my knoggin when I am Canyon Dancin'
Slicin' and Dicin' in the twisties of the Blue Ridge Parkway here in the
South East!!!
Dark, deep street vibe, and mad jazzy.
Those are the vibes I look for!!!
There is a cd pressing too (if ya can find it).
I have the CD.
IMO its' a little better than Ian Simmons's latest Lp, but not to take
anything away from him cuz his shit is the bomb too.
I need to go shoppin' but I am a little taken back that Maxwell's latest has
been pushed back indefinitely. I really like the dark vibe he has on
-Embrya-.
later.
I tell you someone else I wish there was full feature of is Gabriel Rene. I
have heard some of that vibe on the http://www.naked-music.com stuff and I
really like the dark Downtempo i.e. "Don't You Cry" and "Gotta Let It Go".
Well till then I'll be in the twisties with the aid of Downtempo Moody Vibes
pushin' me through the apexes left and right, skimmin' the knees in the
leans, Happy Trails!!!!
Semper Motociclismo,
Pace'
