did you get a little strip of leather to rub it with?
i think that's the best thing, and if it's just a
teeny tiny bit moist (like rub your hands together and
hold the leather between them so it gets the tiniest
bit sweaty) it's better. pitch depends on speed and
grip on the little thingy in the middle.
