i've found happiness with my Yamaha cdrw. I don't use
it a ton so it doesn't take a beating, but every burn
has been clean. it's an external scsi. there are cd
burners on the market that you can just hook up to
your audio source like a tape player. that way you
don't get the loss b/t the 2 devices. if you go md to
cd, i guess you'd want to use the optical in/out. i
don't know much aobut this.
a friend of mine told me about a machne coming out
soon that will burn regular sound files and mp3s (to
the same disk?) and it's portable. maybe that would
be helpful for you to shop around for.
