how likely this'll work...I dunno. But since I'm so excited but also in
so much pain and devastation, I'm hoping there's a chance in this. So
here goes:
I know there's quite a many people here from Japan, who also happen to
go to clubs and/or concerts every once in a while. I found out last
night that one of my fave musicians, Monday Michiru, will be playing 6
live club dates starting Aug.10. One of which will be a CD Release
Party for the JACKSON 5 Remixes 2 album! She'll be doing an acoustic
set accompanied only by a guitarist Tanaka Yoshito. There will be DJs
there as well: DJ SPINNA, SHUYA OKINO (Kyoto Jazz Massive/Cosmic
Village/Electric Sheep), Shinco (SDP/SSY), DEV LARGE (BUDDA BRAND), IMAI
AKIRA (TOPLESS), AND MORE . And there are five more dates where she
will be performing live, along with a DJ set by Okino Shuuya of Cosmic
Village.
the problem is...I'm in the US. The dates are all in beautiful Japan -
where I wish I could live, especially right now! I have enough money to
buy a used album, which equates to no plane ride, no Michiru.
The favor that I would like to ask, is this: Would anyone here be
interested in going to any of these shows? After all, it's not only
Michiru there, there's Spinna, Shinco and other top club DJs, which I
think should appeal to most or many here, ne? And a fun night on
the town. [ I don't know when Monday will ever do another live string
of shows - very infrequent. ] So, I'd like to ask if anyone could go
to a show (or shows if you've already planned on going) and take some
momentos of the show such as photographs and an autograph (stuff like
like).
I guess this would be pretty cool for club goers? An actual live
performance by a local talent, and a string of popular DJs and
artists-turn-DJs.
I'd be inexplicably grateful. I'll do whatever ya want if you wish
something in return. I'll pay for film, postage, everything... Please
let me know (send me here: wesleyhongkong@earthlink.net) if you can help
me out and I'll send you detailed info on
the dates, time, etc.
oh please may a kind someone rescue this soul in grave suffering,
(seriously, not exagerrating)
~wesley~
