I don't know much about it, but I too am interested in getting something
going in the area in which you seem to have interests and connections. I
used to do (A whole lotta) street promotion, retail push and DJ / club promo
work in the hip hop scene here in L.A. (I make my home in Venice, Cali,
just outside the city) Right now, I'm getting some of the same stuff going
in the genre(s) of music I find most interesting. I have a thing going with
QUANGO for west coast regional that I hope to expand in the near future.
Mark is right, for the most part, they use a lot of the resources readily
avaiable to them over at Palm Pictures and through their distribution
partners at Ryko. The stuff I do, Ryko and Palm just can't do. Put it like
that.
