Okay what exactly is the different between "broken step" and either broken
beat or abstract 2-step?? Most of the stuff you mentioned we consider either
broken beat or just more abstract ("intelligent"??) 2-step.

    Broken-Step?

Word!!!!! And it's up to us producers to keep the music interesting and
diverse. I really look up to Tim Land (Landslide), David Jones aka Zed
Bias, Mad Slinky, & Phuturistix, Seiji, & MR. IG Culture himself (for
the cool production of Julie Dexter's The Plan rub).

Yes, I'm sick of the Zinc's, Hype's, Stanton Warriors, Dee Kline's, So
solid crew's, Oxide & neutrino's, and their breakbeat garage wanna-be's.
It's TIME for some groovy, thinking man's version of 2-step=
broken-step!!!! But, don't shoot me for that genre-title. I was just
kidding, at first. But it looks like it's gonna stick!!!!! :) Plus it'll
help on-line record stores to describe certain records.

Yes, Elson I will play alot of it there. :)

    I'm feeln' these broken-step records:

Julie Dexter- The Plan (Julie's rub) (Main Squeeze)

    Kaidi Tatham- Betcha (Landslide) (Bitasweet)

Soul Electric- Hey, that's what you do (?)
    (In Flight)

    Phuturistix- 551 Blues (Locked On)

    Madslinky-Dark Swing (Sirkus)

Any Landslide orig./ remixes esp. Danny Byrd's Changes, Izit vs. Future
homosapiens- Bird of paradise, and Hear my People tune. Muted/ Incurable
voices, and London Elecktricity's Round the corner, all on Hospital.
Om's "Fall into you is great also!!!!!! plus Audio Montage's Come with
me is pretty awesome. Go to: www.hospitalrecords.com (for sound samples)

Son of scientist- Theory of Everything (Main Squeeze)

Zest records (*who produces as these????)

    Urban Soul Collective- Oh yeah!!!!!
