The Tip CDs and Tapes up by Peterson (6317 N. Ridge). Strictly hip hop (and
next to no vinyl--sorry deejays). Owned and run by long time Chi-town rapper
E.C. Illa (I put out his very first 12" with Choke Distribution's Chuck Wren
back in the early 90s). He just released a new single and album.

Dusty Groove is open Fri, Sat and Sun though you'd have to check their
website for exact hours. And for those visiting Chicago in the middle of the
week we are also open on Wed nights from 6-9PM along with Sunday afternoons.

I'm having a complete memory lapse. What's the place in Chicago, I think
it's "the tip" or something like that. The owner just release a new
    album, ec illa I think.
