    Groove Distribution Highlights for 8.27.01

    The New Releases List and the Restocks List for this week are now posted on

    These are just some of the highlights from this week’s New Releases List.

    Abstract/Downtempo/Leftfield: Nice moody downtempo 3 tracker by Cheever J
    Loophole on Turbo Trax, new Ryu single on Exceptional, some Poets Club
    releases by S’Apex and Slop Shop in, new Tim Koch 12” on Defocus, Tommy
    Guerrero single on Mo’ Wax, Juice Records’ “Balaton Grooves Vol. 1” album
    now in on vinyl, the “Ibiza Chillout Session” Double CD compilation from
    Ministry Of Sound, and a new sampler 12” from Mo’ Wax from the forthcoming
    “Now Thing” album.

    Beats ‘N’ Breaks: A bunch of Gorillaz 12” represses back in and the new
    Howie B album on vinyl (plus a few more copies of the sampler 12”).

    Drum & Bass: Bad Company “Book Of The Bad Vol. 2” D12”, new John B 12” “It’s
    So Real” on new label Tangent, and the new Omni Trio album.

    Hip Hop: DJ Junk’s “Breakers Breaks Vol. 1” is repressed and back in stock.

    House: New Awa Band single, Double 99 team up with the Sneaker Pimps (??!)
    on a new 12”, new Freaks 12” “Doobedoo”, Full Intention’s “I’ll Be Waiting”
    12” on Rulin’, new Quakerman with remix by DJ Q, Rune Lindbaek album on
    Repap, Service* 12” on Discfunction with remix by the Idjut Boys, new Teddy
    G* 12” on Glasgow Underground, new Classic 12” from Tiefschwarz,and lots of
    NRK represses back in.

    Nu Jazz/Broken Beat: New Amalgmation Of Soundz* 12” on Compost, new 12” on
    Far Out by Bazeado (featuring members of Mr. Hermano/Faze Action/Smoke
    City/Da Lata), more copies back of last week’s new Jaffa 12” for all those
    that missed out, Soul Patrol* on Infracom with remixed by Attica Blue’s
    Charlie Dark and Fellmann & Louise, and “the New Testament Of Funk 2001”
    compilation from Unique.

    2-Step/UK Garage: New DJ Abstract 12” on DJ Deekline’s Rat Records, new
    Horsepower Prods 12” “Electro Bass” on Turn U On, dope 2-step remix of
    Outcast’s “So Fresh So Clean” (way better than the Fat Boy Slim remix that
    got released), Shade Sheist gets remixed by the Dubaholics, So Solid Crew’s
    “21 Seconds” (a monster hit in the UK) finally gets released, Veronica
    remixed by Headtop and a the “Relentless Summer Sampler” featuring So Solid
    Crew, El-B, Phaze One and more.
