Markus Nikolai - 'Bushes (Freeform Reform Remix)' (Classic Recordings)
I've been after this record for a while. The remix is not on any of the
versions of 'Bushes' that are out right now.
Last week I e-mailed Classic records about it and they e-mailed me back
saying: 'We have 5 copies of the never to be released Doc Martin/Rob
Mello/Freeform 5/Acoustic 12" mixes of "Bushes" here in our office that we
are prepared to part with to the biggest bidder or best blagger!' Presumably
the bid I made wasn't big enough as they never got back to me after I made
an offer.
Does anyone know anything else about this record, like where it can be
bought? The guy from Classic Records who e-mailed me back said that only a
few hundred were made and that the record won't be released. Can someone
please tell me that this isn't true. Surely some of the 'few hundred' are
for sale somewhere?
What makes labels pull the plug on records that sound like they would do
really well if released?
Lastly, are there any other good Freeform Five releases?
