    i agree with you totally about the marketing thing, but i wasn't really
    talking about that.... i was wondering more about credibility.

    hey i couldn't agree with you more, and i think the fact that britney is
    even mentioned in this thread proves that the producers make a difference,
    no matter if the neptunes seem to be selling out, people were giving
    props to a britney spears track which i don't think anyone would have even
    guessed when joining this thread... the marketing definitely had nothing
    to do with that... i hope...

    i also think the neptunes were always about making money. they produce pop
    music. but i don't know them personally so....
