I was sick of hip hop for the last couple of years, but now I actually
really like a lot of the big hip hop artists: Ludacris, the new Dr Dre
joints, Fabulous, Mr Cheeks, Bubba Sparx, Ja Rule, DMX, Nelly, Jay-Z,
etc. "Girls, Girls, Girls", "Roll Up", "Number 1", "Young'N" (the video
remix with Timbaland) all are rockin' me right now.

Maybe listening to so much underground, abstract, instrumental tracks
I'm starved for in yer face, upbeat rap joints. A lot of the stuff I
like is kinda party hip hop and it reminds me of the early days when I
was grooving to Run DMC and the like.

What about the Madlib 2x7" The Beat Conductor. Nice collection of instrumentals on the same vein as petestrumentals.
