Lots of great music coming out! Let's get feedback!

    1) Prince has evolved to a whole new level with his new album "Rainbow
Children" Very jazzy with an earthy, silky, and "neo-soulish" feel.
Although I hate comparisons, it seems to be similar to D'amgelo's efforts
with Voodoo. But make no mistake, this is the master putting together a new
masterpiece. LISTEN TO THIS ASAP!! Then make your own judgements

    2) Red Star Sounds Nu Soul album "Soul Searchin" - a compilation of "neo/nu
soul" artists (damn I hate when the industry forces categories) feat Amel
Larrieux w/ The Roots, Macy Gray, Jill Scott, a phat jam with Erykah Badu
(Today), India Arie, as well as others. Have only heard snippets and some of
the songs have actually been released as part of other projects but this one
disc makes a happy contribution to the CD changer by bringing them all
    together

    3) Speaking of soul divas, Angie Stone's new album "Mahogany" is boiling
over with smooth flava. It doesn't entirely break new ground but there are
sure solid grooves on here which should be part of the standard when it
    comes to R&B today.

    4) You can never have enough divas... What about Jill Scott's new double
album "Experience"! CD#1 (The live set) is simply a live set of her popular
songs off her debut. CD#2 is that silver plate of tasty appetizers making
your mouth water for the next album. The cut "One Time", "High-post brotha",
"Gotta Get Up" w/4 hero plus other remixes.... (Bonus: check out her cut on
the Isley Brothers new LP-- silky!) Ah yes, I feel some mix tapes being made
    this weekend...

    5) Jaguar Wright! sexy songstress straight out of Philly. Down with The
Roots Motive crew and major player at the Black Lilly showcase in Philly and
NYC (if you don't know...betta find out!) Album should be droppin early
    2002.

    6) Anyone heard anything about Meshell N'Degeocello's new album?

I've seen posts asking about where hip-hop is going? Has anyone heard
Superrappin Volume 2, the various Beat Generation albums (BBE label) put out
by Pete Rock (Petestrumentals), Marly Marl (Re-Entry), Will I.Am of Black
Eyed Peas (Lost Change), or Jay Dee of Slum Village (Welcome to Detroit)?

(By the way if you want to catch a nice dose of REAL hip hop, try
www.futureflavaonline.com/ which is hosted by Pete Rock & Marley Marl which
is broadcast live in NYC and streamed over the net every Sunday night)

    Peace!
