had email problems last weeek so this thread's only made it to my pc.
apologies if this has already been mentioned...
this is amazing.. I found the sheet music for it in a little music shop here
in sydney 3 weekends ago.. Autumn Leaves (Les Feuilles Mortes) - music by
Joseph Kosma, English Lyrics by Johnny Mercer, French Lyrics by Jaques
Prevert.. from 1947. I have the Coldcut vinyl - the Irresistible Force mix
has always been my favourite track and one of my top 10 alltime favs (and I
picked it up for $1 about 4years ago!).. Nellee Hooper vocals are sweet.
other mixes include the well hung parliament adventure and Paul Gotel funked
out mix. apparently there's a trancey/progressive house mix out which has
made the track even more popular recently (not sure who did it.. probably
way out west or someone??) - I haven't actually heard this one, but it's be
hard to beat the coldcut vinyl. then driving home last friday listening to
a jazz station on the radio - on comes Autumn Leaves - vocals by Eva Cassidy
off an album called Songbird. I'm looking for that one now.. after hearing
it, I still think the mixmaster morris version is my fav, but would like to
have other versions as well..
hope u can find a version :)
