These are just some of the highlights from this week's New Releases
List.
Abstract/Downtempo/Leftfield: Gerd album back in stock, new Squarepusher
12" on Warp, an old Sternklang 10" that we have never had before comes
in, and we found some copies of the old, out of print, "Journey Into The
Ambient Groove 4" 12" with cuts from Fila Brazilia (with Coldcut),
Akasha, and the Sofa Surfers (remixed by Richard Dorfmeister).
Beats 'N' Breaks: New on Plank comes a single from Interloper called
"Bitch Slapper" that has gotten rave reviews in the UK dance mags, dope
new TCR promo of Koma & Bones' "Morpheus" remixed by Rennie Pilgrem and
Meat Katie with Dylan Rhymes, new Bolshi 12" by Laidback with 12Tree
(and remixed by Krafty Kuts), finished copies of the RJD2 12" on
Battersea Park Music/Altered Vibes, dope new Tony D 12" on Grand
Central, and Skint's Treva Whateva jumps to Tru Thoughts for his latest
"Singalong".
Drum & Bass: Two new Congo Natty 12"s by Black Star, finished copies of
the Citizen 12" on Aspect, very nice white label remix of Method Man &
Redman's "How High", two new 12"s on Infrared by Motion and Moving
Fusion (which also has a Total Science remix), new downtempo EP from
Certificate 18's Polar, new Ray Keith album on Dread, new Stretch 12" on
Reinforced, and a new double pack 12" on Virus by Trinity (who was
featured on DJ Marky's "Brazilian Job").
Hip Hop: New Aspects 12" on Hombre, the latest issue of Big Daddy
magazine, and a breakbeat album by ex-Scratch Pervert DJ First Rate put
out on DJ Junk's Breakers Breaks label.
House: Dajae & Full Intention drop a new single together on Essence, new
David Penn 12" on Black Vinyl, Dealers Choice 12" on Paper, Germany's
Disco Galaxy crew turn their sites on Michael Jackson's "Don't Stop
Until You Had Enough" and rework it into a filtered disco dancefloor jam
for today, new East West Connection 12" on Chili Funk, Laid remixes the
latest Fat Boy Slim joint "Drop The Hate", new Freaks single "Dance &
Reorder", new Groove Assassins 12" on Glasgow Underground, new Hakan
Libdo 12" on Estereo, two new 12"s on NRK by Joeski & Chus, new Sunday
Brunch 12" on Svek, and last but definitely not least, more copies of
the last Wagon Cookin' 12".
Nu Jazz/Broken Beat: Aardvarck "Nozun" remixed by Attica Blues, Alex
Rostotsky's "Once Upon A Time In The City Of Kazan" album on Cosmic
Sounds, new Far Out 12" by Mamond with lots of Brazilian jazz musicians,
the Numbers album on Main Squeeze now in on vinyl, dope new 12" on Karma
Giraffe by Oba Funke produced by King Britt and featuring a remix by
Domu, the SK Radicals debut album in on CD, the Humble compilation now
in on CD, and the "Iron Curtain Revisited" 10" on Crippled Dick with
cuts by Keyser & Shuriken, Intega, and more.
2-Step/UK Garage: 3rd Edge's "In And Out" on Middlerow, new Dred
Controllers single called "I Know I Got U Open", new Ghost remix 12",
new 12" on South Side by JJ Lewis, more remixes of Maxwell D's
"Serious".
