This was sent to our local forum but wanted to keep everyone informed
    about what's going on.

OK I just got off the phone.

    Here is the deal.

Southend Brewery now charges everyone who throws a party in the River
Room $200 - $300 (we are the only ones not paying that fee right now)

Two of the managers are trying to keep us from having to pay this. We
are very grateful for them backing us up. They love our parties, the
mature cliental, the music and have watched these parties grow, but the
head guy wants to see more $$$$

We have made a commitment to bring in Bliss of Baby Mammoth on Jan.
19th. after that we will host one more party with Greg Long as the
headliner around the time the new compilation comes out on Shadow
Records with 3 tracks Greg was involved in.

We are stopping Ecoutent in February if Southend decides to charge us
that fee unless we can make up for it at the door... we need about 100
    more paying people.

Greg and I know we could pay 300.00 and host a low budget event with
Greg as the DJ but we barely enough to support our event at the door
right now and would have no money to promote any longer. I really think
it may be time to let go.

Greg will be putting new pictures up on the site this over the weekend.
Please check them out and see for your self how much fun folks are
having. We need your help or it is over for us.

On the other hand, if we lose this event Greg and I will have more time
to create. We are starting a new label called Citrona next month as well
as a few other projects which will require a lot of our time. So maybe
    this is our calling.

But for now we will keep the faith that Ecoutent is still alive.

Saturday Jan. 19th Bliss of Baby Mammoth - Pork Recordings
Feb. 16th Greg Long - Instinct Records

This could be our last two parties.

For now thank you to all of those who have supported us this past year.
The one thing we will never lose is our art & our love.

    - Christina
