heya Serch and all,
Just have to add my two ¢ here as I was recently given an advance of the Nor-Tec Collective's Tijuana Sessions CD being discussed here. It's been really exciting to listen to it on a number of levels, really great to hear the blending of acoustics (especially those guitars and horns!) with electronic sounds. It's wayyyy fresh to hear Mexican music in this context!
I find some of the tracks a little 'commercial electronicy' for my ears, but they're the exception not the rule. Most of the pieces here are great... I'm particularly feeling the Fussible and Bostich stuff, though the list of likes is expanding with each listen. Really glad to hear that there'll be vinyl also, and that we'll get to hear "Al sonar del Tambor" in the near future. :-) Thanks for keeping us posted of what's happening over your
way....sounds like there's lots more to come.

> Well here's some news of the nortec collective, the official release should be tomorrow and you should be able to find it everywhere (it's been listed in cdnow.com for a couple of weeks now) it's been released by Palm Pictures / Mil Records (our little label) and it includes tracks from all the groups that conform the collective which are Fussible, Bostich, Terrestre, Panoptica, Clorofila, Hiperboreal and Plankton Man.
> Also the coming next month we will be releasing Dj friendly vinyls with special mixes of the tracks and nu ones including "Al sonar del Tambor" by Fussible, check our website for availability and online purchase (right now we are still redesigning it) so if any one is interested in hearing this I'll gladly send you a CDR and specially for all you that have radio programs or are Dj's, keep the happy tunes and recomendations rolling in...
