I certainly came to a lot of really good music via Instinct/Shadow! Some
amazing music came out under the auspices of their imprints and my
collection which stands at about 900 CD's has quite a few albums that are
still in many of my mixes. Was what they are supposed to have done that
wicked? I do not know the business history Instinct/Shadow, but I have
always felt that these labels alone were a distinction when I have looked
for music to add to my collection. New music is a sickness I know many of
you are also afflicted with, but I do want to feed my habit in ways that are
as ethical as possible. Is there anyone out who might be prepared to give
me a brief skinny on what it is that these people did that some of you will
not deal with them? The picture I have tried to assemble from the various
posts is not clear to me.
