I got my first taste from Sesame Street! If I
remember right, the background of the footage of the
guy kayacking is Blue Rondo a la Turke, and another
skit has Take 5 in the background. It took me a
decade and a half to track them down, but I appreciate
that seed being planted!
Fast-forward...Early college brought John
Coltrane-Giant Steps, Live at the Knitting Factory
(vol 4), the Charie Kohlhase Quintet, and Space is the
Place. Buttah!
