    Hey Pedro,

I'm running digi 001 on my PC at home (PIII, 800Mhz, 20G (with an external
20g hard drive (recommended by digidesign)) and I love it! Did my last
record on it as well as several other mixing projects. It is more stable
than the Mac versions I've seen and totally transferable to pro tools mix 24
(the absolute industry standard). I would highly recommend calling
digidesign and tell them exactly what you're thinking of doing...they are
really helpful...I bought my computer after calling them several times to
determine the optimum configuration...One thing, if you're just looking for
    a great digital 2 track recorder / .wav editor / mastering tool...I'd
actually go with Sound Forge instead. I used to bring my laptops to gigs,
plug a mic into it and record into Sound Forge...then you can master / edit
whatever. The only thing is it's only 2 tracks and you'll still need to get
somekind of D/A interface (i.e. something so you can plug more than one
thing in at a time, like a stereo mic). Hope I've been helpful.

    Good luck,
    F
