Fellow groovers
Just returned from the Roskilde festival,
where I went to see Zero 7, given the line up
was so freaking conservative and boring.
I had really been looking forward to seeing
Zero 7 since their music has gotten a hook on me
big time.
I was no less than absolutely taken away in the
beautiful melodies and songs that they performed.
There were two leadsingers taking turns backed
up by two backingvocals.
In my humble opinion it worked really well.
Soulful, powerful, insisting and really truly wonderful.
Overall I think Zero 7 manages to cruise into
voyeristic dreamland on the gentle breezes of
imagination and closed eyes.
Kick Jazz., dj wax
Ps : Best concert so far this year - though not on Roskilde -
has to be Nitin Sawhney :-))
Bugge Wesseltoft coming up in three days time at the Copenhagen
Jazz festival. .....
