    Groove Distribution Highlights for 07-09-01

    The New Releases List and the Restocks List for this week are now posted on

    These are just some of the highlights from this week’s New Releases List.

    Abstract/Downtempo/Leftfield: New Aardvark single on Music For Speakers, new
    Avalanches “Frontier Psychiatrist” 12”, some very limited David Axelrod
    promo 12”s on Mo’ Wax, Imonster 7”, new Kid Loco “Love And Dope EP” 12”, the
    new debut album from Riton on Grand Central, new Sandor Caron single on
    Delsin with As One on the remix, Chill In Vol. 4 DCD on Kickin’, and the new
    Yonderboi album on vinyl.

    Beats ‘N’ Breaks:No big breaks releases this week (everything these days is
    breaks/step and gets put in the 2-step section anyway).

    Drum & Bass: New K 12” on Subtitles, new Klute “Transformat” 12”, new Legacy
    12” (Total Science in disguise), and Total Science’s new album on CIA “Tuned
    In”.

    Hip Hop: The Aspects full length now in on vinyl, new issue of Big Daddy
    magazine, new Deckwrecka 12” on Ronin, and the London Posse full album on
    Wordplay.

    House: I:Cube remixes the new Ben Chapman single “Easy Not” (there’s also a
    2-step remix), more copies of the Block 16 album, new Bob Sinclar single on
    Yellow, Claude Monnet “New Jazz Soul” on SSOH, new remixes of Miguel Migs
    “Mi Destino”, new Negrocan 12”, two new Neon Heights 12”s with remixes from
    Bent and Larry Heard, Osunlade’s “Paradigm” album on DLP and CD from Soul
    Jazz, new Shrinkwrap remix 12” on Discfunction and too many other big house
    titles to list up.

    Nu Jazz/Broken Beat: The long awaited debut albums from Afronaught and New
    Sector Movements both in stock this week, excellent new DJ Kent single on
    Japanese import, new Spinning Wheel single by Human Resources, Urban Soul
    Collective album in on CD (a veritable West London supergroup with the CD
    mixed by Modaji!), Asian Lounge compilation (from the people behind the
    Afrotronic and Brazilectro albums), the Outpatients 2 album now in on CD,
    and the Playground Vol. 3 mix CD mixed by Aromabar.

    2-Step/UK Garage: Zed Bias does a mix on the new Ben Chapman 12” “Easy Not”,
    new DJ Zinc “Go DJ” 12”, new Sidestepper 12” (Zed Bias in disguise—Mixmag
    2-Step Single Of The Month), and the Stanton Warriors mix CD (and restocks
    on their singles).
