I should hope the Ninjas confirm this info, but, in case any of you other
New Yorkers haven't heard, Kid Koala will be playing an inexpensive show ($3
I think) with his band Bullfrog on Saturday, July 21, at Prospect Park as
part of the big summer Celebrate Brooklyn festival. I'm so excited. I've
never seen Kid Koala live, but I have seen a videotaped show online and was
thoroughly impressed. He's actually one of a few turntablists, like DJ
Swamp, that can keep a live performance interesting from beginning to end.
I know I've seen way too many gigs where the sounds and patterns just get
stale (that damned Battle Cat scratch needs to go away for a very long
time).
BTW, did anyone else catch that free X-Ecutioners show at World Trade Center
a couple weeks ago?
Peace,
Ha
