I may have come into this discussion a bit late, but there are two very
this-listy records peeps will want to, um, peep:
IG Culture - Tings A Gwan
mid 90s british hip hop with several MCs, female and male. smooth & pretty
mellow, quite unlike IG's current production, but still damned good.
Tek9 - Simply
Dego from 4Hero on, again, some superbly chilled hip hop. not nearly as
"jazzy" as 4Hero's own stuff. again, i have a hard time describing it, but
definitely worth a listen.
And speaking of British hip hop, has anyone heard the new full length on
Hombre? Supposed to be a killer...
cheers
philip
