Depends what you do. You can make some pretty dope hip-hop or big-beat
tracks with ACID on its own... Drum n bass? Trance? probably not.

e:trinity uses Cakewalk SONAR (which is the only sequencer program to
integrate ACID-style looping :))
But if you're a die-hard ACID head, you might want to check out ACID 3.0,
which just came out, which has a lot of ReCycle!-type loop processing features.
