stick with the used techs.
your absolutely right has far as resale value and reliability.
as far as mixers...there are so many choices thee days it all depends on
what you feel comfortable with as far as features and what your budget is.
what do you intend to do?
just do blends?
do you want to do some cutting?
if you just want to be able to rock smooth blends and smooth mixes
you should get something that has nice volume and EQ controls.
every company that i know of has a mixer that suits your needs it's just a
matter of what you want.
for example...when i buy a mixer i look into the headphone features. i don't
like knobs when selecting from source 1 to source 2. i like switches buttons
but i prefer a fader...i also prefer a headphone with a master output so
that i can practice without distrubing the neighbors.
so when looking for a mixer...ask your self wha features you do and don't
need. need curve control? then get it...i fyou don't don't get it...
once you've narrowed down your serach based on your budegt...come back to
the list and post your findings and see what type of opinions you get.
