I was lucky enough to catch Nikka Costa performing at the Roxy in L.A. a few 
weeks ago.  She was amazing!  I haven't heard the whole CD yet, but her live 
show was full of raw energy --along the lines of a Lenny Kravitz type of 
thing.  She's the first artist since Maxwell that's made me really stand up 
and pay attention.
