    These are some of the highlights from this week’s New Releases List. For the full list or more information please refer to the New Releases List.

    Abstract/Downtempo/Leftfield: New album from Scandinavians Future 3 (with members of Dub Tractor, Jet, and Opiate), on Norway’s Beat Service comes a new Mind Over Midi 10” with a guest vocalist from Bel Canto (Bugge Wesseltoft helped out on the forthcoming album and MAY be featured on this 10” as well), the latest album from Nitin Sawhney now on V2 having split from Outcaste, the debut album from Tru Thought’s Quantic is in this week and fans of label mates Bonobo should definitely pick it up, and last, but most definitely not least, the vinyl edition of the excellent Hertz Records compilation “The Stable” is now finally out on limited DLP (and pressed up by us here at Groove Dis).

    Beats ‘N’ Breaks: Two new breaks singles this week from Marine Parade by Apex and Evil Nine, new single on Norman (Fatboy Slim) Cook’s Southern Fried label by Scanty (formerly Scanty Sandwich), and the Botchit Breaks 4 compilation is in on two separate 3LPs and a low priced DCD.

    Drum & Bass: Latest 12” on Source Direct’s Demonic label by the Advocate, new jazzy dnb from Champagne, new Global Thang single (which MIGHT be DJ Zinc in disguise), the long awaited debut album from jazzy dnb crew Pressure Rise “Focus” is finally in on vinyl (on 5 pieces of vinyl for ultra-deejay friendliness) —CD should hopefully be in stock next week, a new Ray Keith album (6LP and 3CD!!!), and some new True Playaz compilations.

    Hip Hop: No big new hip hop releases this week but we do have restocks on the Roots “Instrumentals” album featuring cuts from their very first album right up to their last.

    House: More remixes of Choc Electrogue’s Shadows single, great new house single from Dus (as in Eddy & Dus) –already a big hit with Mr. Scruff, new Frankie Valentine single on Sunshine (who released the Nigel Hayes album), new Funky Lowlives single “Insides” on (believe it or not) Kruder & Dorfmeister’s G-Stone label, new jazzy single from Chicago’s Greens Keepers out on Classic, new singles from Hysteria Records and Distance, dope new white label Sade remix 12” (grab it quick before it disappears), BRS drop a new single as Shunt Limit on new label Wideleft, and a big new mix DCD on Classic done by label bosses Luke Solomon and Derrick Carter.

    Nu Jazz/Broken Beat: New Latin flavored single from 9 Styles which is really Spacer in disguise, debut album from Madrid de los Austrias is in stock this week, two awesome new singles from New Sector Movements, debut album from Taxi in on vinyl on Infracom, Compost 100 compilation in on DCD, dope new compilation from Cookin’ Records with many dnb crews dropping non-dnb music, excellent compilation Speech Of Sound now in, nice new mix CD on X:Treme (Sound Colors, Room With A View, etc) done by Wai Wan, and a new single on Fluid Ounce by the Vogado Project.

    2-Step/UK Garage: New Relentless single by Phaze 1, new Sovereign single on Locked On, yet more remixes of Sweet Female Attitude’s “DJ Play It”, and a new single by Warrior with 2-step remixes.

    We have also added several recent releases to our website’s listening post. Be sure to check out cuts from the new albums by Chekhov, Spacek, Mavanelli Project, Greenfly, Bugge Wesseltoft, Badmarsh & Shri, Chromatix (not new but we finally got around to putting some samples from this excellent dnb album), Schnute and Ming.
