Actually, I first came in touch with dancable tunes when discovering those
Manchester "rave" bands, e.g. Charlatans, Soup Dragan, Primal Scream. Before
that I was a "No beats, please"-purist. I then started to listen to Techno
and HipHop. While I was quite quickly bored by techno I kept loving HipHop,
then TripHop. I totally missed the first wave of Acid Jazz in the early 90's
and discovered the music discussed here only two or three yeras ago via K&D
and so on.
BTW, Tindersticks really are one of the most levely bands in the word.
