I've actually been meaning to mention a potentially great resource for
those of you who chase rare musical items. There's a shop here in Toronto,
Cosmos Records, run by a guy named Aki Abe (also part of the Movement
crew). Cosmos carries loads of truly rare funk, jazz, soul, Latin etc.
albums, as well as a lot of music directly imported from Japan (Aki is
Japanese and has some amazing hookups). Prices are up there 'cause the guy
and his staff know what they've got, but it is a great place to check if
you're looking for specific releases... Monday Michuru for example.
Their e address is: cosmosrecords@yahoo.ca. Don't know the phone number off
hand, but you can always call the directory...they're on Queen St. West.
