well, i had my mind completely blown on Monday night in Miami when i
attended Future with Vic Duplaix, Dego, IG Culture, Seiji & Jazzanova,
tagging for 5 or so hours. absolutely stunning music all night flowing
through broken beat sounds, latin-inflected breakbeat and deep house and
techno. no boundaries, no categories, and no attitude. a (mostly) full
dancefloor shouting their approval (me included) made for an enhanced
experience...at 2am Seiji busted out his dubplates and tore the fucking roof
off. it was as jazz as dance music gets. not to mention Jay Dee and Spinna
in the upstairs lounge....but i only got up there once. the main floor was
just too damn good! anyone else lucky enough to see this? i'm still in
shock...
