compare any cd and vinyl equivalent and I definetely feel something is lost
in the D/A conversion regardless of how much remastering you might like to
do for CD..

20kHz. ;-)
as the above statement says, "or better said, feel" rather than hear...
music at a decent volume isnt only sensed aurally.. not sure about 20000khz
though hehe..
CD listening on my CD-only setup at home gives me headaches after a period,
whereas vinyl listening doesn't. I enjoy both formats for what they offer
though.. (flipping vinyl constantly at home sucks.. :)
the thing that really irks me is the _shit_ sound systems all these clubs
insist on running to this day. Always cheap, noisy and loud - IMO a good
club system should have presence but you should be able to have a
conversation at normal volume in the middle of the dance floor. It seems
like the dance music industry took alot from the days of the Loft, Paradise
Garage etc, but they sure as hell didnt learn anything about sound system
setups from it... :(
