I went to Amsterdam - Rush Hour and Fat Beats to buy some music.

One album that I bought definitely deserves to be mentioned on the list:

Fertile Ground - Perception (Counterpoint records), 2xlp. Real artists, real music. soul-jazz. it's like hearing a strata east record of 40 years ago but with a definite modern touch. The lp combines instrumental jazz, a touch of latin percussion, spoken word, soul singers & swingers. A tip for those who love spirit in their music.

I picked up a reissue of: Syl Johnson's "Is it because I'm Black?", beautifull as well.

Furthermore Jigmastas - Till the day, Breakestra - Sexy popcorn Pot, Lootpack - Weeded remix

Can we drop this black & white thing please? I've heard it to much. There ain't no thing as claiming music for a race "Why can't people be colours to?" listen to the music, it's not black or white nor shades of gray. It's a mix of red, blue, purple, yellow. Most people don't give a rat's ass about who makes their music. the ones who do already should have a notion of where it comes from. My favourite bands are always the ones who combine people and influense from everywhere over the world. Think about it. Music comes from many places, not only your specific country, race, religion or clothing brand. Everyone is influenced by the other somehow.

    cheers,
    Jeroen
