His first album "Behind the Gardens...Behind the Wall - Under the Tree" was
very influential to me as a child.

White Winds or either it was White Sands really blew my mind a while back in
the day when it was released. The stuff is really soothing. From there I
went on to Nyk Tyndal, Steve Roach, and the former drummer of Santana whose
    name escapes me.

I think I heard of his new age music
first from a fashion show in the late '70s or early '80s.

I was working in a record store back then.

      Electric harp
    was his thing, right?

    Absolutemente!!!

    Definitely cheezy at times,

Maybe a tad but I have to salute him.

but sometimes inspirational. Never ever heard
of anyone sampling him although that sounds like a GREAT idea. A deep
house Vollenweider mix would be fun!

If it is Slow, Sexy, Spcaey and Downtempo, just my arse up!!!

I'll be seeing Sade in Raleigh, N.C. and Hotlanta, GA. Happy Trails!!!!
