I think Mondo Grosso follow what is fashionably cool in regards to
music style. Like Monday Michiru trying hard to be Dana Bryant or Ursula
Rucker. Other tracks like "Don't Let me go" has familiarity to the new Daft
tracks with the synth vocals. Monday even Americanised her voice in a more
deliberate way to her usual voice which is somewhat of a let down. Apart
from Monday, what's nice about the album are the people that are featured
for rap and vocals. Apart from these few things, their music production is
    slick.

Regarding the remixing issue, I think it's always been Osawa's personal
choice. Japan remixing industry is very free, maybe because they have budget
or that the labels give them free reign on remixers.

It is cool that John took the initiative to ask to collaborate with the
best people in this industry. The chances would be very slim but at least he
tried. Checking out his track now.

I just found out you can get Star Suite (Shelter Rmx) in the States
through King Street Rec, which you can get on the original Remix album MG4R
in Japan. For all those who can't seem to get into Monday's Rucker
performance, their is a great dub version on the flipside.
